Language Spinners *(Aust Pub)
Language Spinners is a quality language board game with a spinner. The eight coloured language ‘discs’ are used as overlays to provide eight different language games. There are four focus areas with two game discs in each. The activities focus on Narrative (What’s Your Story?, Mystery Person), the difficult area of Factual Texts (Keep Me Informed, What’s Your Opinion), Vocabulary development (Word Microscope, Exploring Words) and Personal and Social - Pragmatic skills (Getting To Know You, Getting Along).
Uses
Language Spinners can be used in 1:1 intervention and with small language groups. ESL students will also find the activities rewarding. The classroom teacher could also use it as a stimulus for discussion with small groups or the whole class.

Primary students, older clients with language impairment or those learning English as a second language
